⛄🧬 From code to creation!
Our students are modeling protein synthesis by building a snowman—starting with DNA as the instruction manual and mRNA as the messenger that carries those directions to get the job done. Just like in real cells, the message matters! Science is cooler when you can build it. ❄️🧪

Our 8th graders are preparing for their transition to VHS!

Dance Line and Flag Line practice information!

Important dates for WFB!

Tomorrow is the final day to bring in 7th and 8th grade field trip forms and money! Most be turned in during Homeroom!

Join us tonight at 5:30 pm in Room 12 for PAC and ELA night!

❄️🥶 Brrr… what a cold one! We hope all of our Chambers County Schools students, staff, and families stayed safe, warm, and cozy today.
Thank you for your patience as we navigated the winter weather. We’re hopeful that road conditions have improved and that everything is clear and ready to go. But, please be careful and watch for slick spots on less-traveled roads.
📚🏫 We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27.
Stay warm tonight, and we’ll see you soon!

There is a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 in the VHS Lunchroom for everyone that signed up to tryout for cheer and mascot. This meeting is required for at least one parent or guardian to attend in order to be eligible to tryout.

The 7th and 8th grade field trip forms and money deadline has been extended to Wednesday .

The health and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority. Due to a significant increase in cases of the Flu, RSV, and stomach viruses across our district, Chambers County Schools will transition to a Virtual Learning Day on Friday, January 23.
This brief shift to remote learning is a proactive measure intended to curb the spread of illness and allow our facilities to be thoroughly sanitized before students return.
We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation as we work together to keep our school community healthy and safe.

Parents/Guardians: We’re seeing an increase in flu and COVID-19 cases. Please monitor your child for symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, congestion, or fatigue. If your child is sick or showing symptoms, keep them home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours without using medications to reduce or mask symptoms.
Note: Any parent notes used to excuse illness during January will NOT count toward the four allowed parent notes for the 2nd semester.
Thank you for helping keep our schools healthy!

Congratulations to our WFB Spelling Bee Winner, Harper Crowder and Runner Up, Haley Hall! We are super proud of you both!

We are closely monitoring the forecast for a potential winter storm impacting Chambers County this weekend. If closures are necessary, we will notify families by phone and text.

As flu season intensifies, it's important to take extra steps to protect our children from both the flu and COVID-19. Here are some simple ways to keep them healthy:
🧼 Hand Hygiene: Remind kids to wash hands frequently, especially after eating, playing, or using the restroom.
🤧 Stay Home When Sick: If your child has symptoms like fever, cough, or fatigue, please keep them home to prevent spreading illness.
💪 Boost Immune Health: Ensure your kids get enough sleep, eat healthy foods, and stay active to strengthen their immune systems.
Let’s work together to keep our school community safe and healthy this season! ❤️
