The Nurses met with Chambers County DHR for an informative Professional Development day. Mrs. Julia Ann Hyde and her wonderful staff presented information to the nurses regarding Mandated reporting in the school system. Reminder that Track Tryouts are TODAY & Wed., January 24th at Ram Stadium from 4:15-5:30. Students will need a bus note to ride the bus to the track on those days. There is a parent meeting ALSO TODAY at VHS cafeteria at 6 pm.
All WFB students will be transported by bus to the Langdale Auditorium beginning @ 9:00 am 1/22/24, for a presentation on the dangers of vaping & will return to WFB beginning @ 11:00 am. The CCSD will delay the start of school on Wednesday, January 17th by 2 hours. All schools will start 2 hours later. This step was taken due to the hard freeze warning & extreme temps as low as 13 degrees projected. The delay will make it safer for bus travel & students to get to school. Please stay safe and warm.
The CCSD is informing parents & staff that we will remain in our virtual school mode on Tuesday, January 16th. This is due to a winter weather advisory for our county with threats of freezing rain & icy conditions. Sub freezing Temps for students waiting on buses was also considered. See you on Wednesday.
